Te presentamos la vivienda en la que nacieron y se criaron dos destacados escritores del siglo XX. Esta Casa-Museo te hará viajar en el tiempo a través de la vida y obra de los vilanoveses Julio y Francisco Camba.
Francisco Camba
After studying to be a teacher, he gave up this profession to devote his professional life to the world of letters. He excelled in genres such as costumbrismo (literature of local customs and manners), which he developed in the first stage of his career, and the historical novel. He is considered the author of the first Spanish novel focused on the world of aviation. In addition, he contributed to important newspapers in the early 20th century.
Julio Camba
He stands out for being the most important Spanish press correspondent of the 20th century. He worked as a journalist in major capitals of the Western world such as Paris, London, Berlin, Geneva and New York. His work, both literary and journalistic, also reflects his close link with Vilanova de Arousa, a place to which he returned whenever he could.
Collection on display
Immerse yourself in the life and work of the Camba brothers by means of exhibition panels, miscellaneous documentation and an extensive collection from their personal library, which you will find on the House-Museum’s two floors. The ground floor is devoted to Francisco Camba, while the first floor focuses on Julio Camba.
